Who we are

The NASMEC Institute is

A non-profit organization, incorporated under the Companies Act Cap 108 of Uganda.We bring together Uganda’s foremost clinicians, researchers, and public health professionals in a shared mission: to provide high-level technical leadership in Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health, and to end preventable deaths that no woman, baby, or family should have to endure. Working in partnership with the Ministry of Health, development partners, cultural leaders and civil society, NASMEC drives evidence-informed policy, quality service delivery, and innovation across Uganda’s MNCAH landscape. We operate at the intersection of the clinic, the community, and the corridors of policy — where sustained, expert-led engagement determines whether evidence translates into lives saved.
